Collage Etchings
Each of these collage pieces is made from prints and proofs that are produced along the way when making an edition. The playful and experimental nature of making one-off pieces complements the rigours of working in etching, and has become an integral part of my artistic practice. The collages become a world within the world of my prints, where elements of different prints can meet and repeat, creating new narratives and juxtapositions. Each collage piece in the gallery here is mounted of birch ply and the collage is sealed with a fine layer of varnish.
